NEETUG Round-3 Counselling is around the corner, the New Registration process has already been started from 3rd Oct 2024 (Thursday).
Meanwhile the competent authority (MCC) has decided to allow Resignation for the candidates who desire to leave their Round-1 or Round-2 seat from 4:00 PM of 4th Oct 2024 upto 06:00 P.M of 6th Oct 2024 with or without forfeiture of security fee (acc to rules).
So now the Choice Filling, and the Virtual/ Vacant Seats status shall be available on/ after 6th Oct 2024 (Sunday), as the vacated seats has to be added in the seat matrix.
The Govt of India has recently approved 10 New Medical Colleges for MBBS, out of which 8 are in Maharashtra (Ambernath, Amravati, Bhandara, Buldhana, Ghadchiroli, Hingoli, Jalna and Washim), 1 in Uttar Pradesh (Sonebhadra) and 1 in Uttarakhand (Haridwar) adding total of 150 seats in AIQ and 1500 to total tally. Students will now be able to opt newly added seats in Round-3 of NEETUG Counselling.
Earlier in Round-2 of NEETUG Counselling, govt approved 8 New Medical Colleges, ie 5 in Uttar Pradesh (Auraiya, Baranpur, Chandauli, Gonda, Lakhimpur Kheri) and 3 in Rajasthan (Nagaur, Banswada and Sawai Madhopur) adding 800 plus seats into the total pool of seats.
