Salary Hike by 30% to 55% for medical teachers in Gujarat

Gujarat Government recently approved the substantial increase in monthly salary of contractual medical teachers serving in hospitals affiliated to state government medical colleges.

Benefits:-

  • Medical teachers of Class-I and Class-II will be benefited.
  • Increased monthly salary of medical teachers from 30 to 55%, experts say it is pitched like a “gift” by the government to employees.
  • Enhance the quality of living for medical professionals.

Earlier in its order dated 31st August 2024, the state government had increased the stipend of Interns, Junior Residents, Senior Residents and Super-speciality residents (as given below in the table). This was done with retrospective effect from 1st April 2024.
