IMA MSN’s response to the brutal rape and murder of a medical student at RGKAR Medical College in Kolkata and their support for the junior doctors and medical community protesting the violence.

Nationwide Action Plan | Day-wise

14th October 2024 : Statewide Meetings & Suggestions

The states will hold virtual or in-person meetings to gather suggestions and propose action plans for addressing issues from stakeholders.

15th October 2024 : Support to IMA JDN Hunger Strike

16th October 2024 : Black Ribbon Silent Protest Day

Nationwide silent protests to be held, encouraging students and professionals to wear black ribbons as a symbol of protest against violence. (Representative image – doctors from Karnataka)

18th October 2024 : Twitter Storm

Members are requested to tweet on X using designated hashtags in solidarity.

20th October 2024 : Letter to PMO with Mass Emails

A letter will be drafted and sent to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) alongside a mass email campaign to raise awareness and demand action.

Meeting MLAs/MPs with Memorandum and Serial Hunger Strike are among other plans if No Visible Action is seen as last resort.
