25 Oct Delhi (2:05 PM)| An argument emerged with the release of answer keys by the counsel representing Dr. Ishika Jain. The petitioner’s counsel contended that the information memorandum has not been published, and there is no established standard operating procedure (SOP) for conducting the exam. Additionally, the states are unclear on how to manage the counseling process.
The lawyer for the National Board of Examinations (NBE) contended that these are super-specialty exams at the postgraduate level, with a limited pool of questions. The lawyer argued that if question papers and answer keys were to be released annually, they would likely exhaust the available questions within three years. She added they have not been providing answer scripts. It’s their rule.
SC – We would have to then hear the matter. We will list it on a Non-Miscellaneous Day.
