Jaipur: The issue of discrepancies in the NEETPG 2024 merit list released by the Rajasthan State Medical Council has sparked significant controversy.
A team of doctors, led by UDF Rajasthan State President Dr. Bharat Parikh, met with the counseling committee officials today, submitting a memorandum demanding immediate rectification. UDF National President Dr. Lakshya Mittal expressed hope that the counseling chairman and committee would promptly take appropriate action on this matter.
It is noteworthy that the NEET PG 2024 examination for postgraduate medical admissions in national-level medical colleges was held across the country on August 11 in two shifts. The results, normalized for fairness, were declared on August 23. Following this, the Rajasthan State Medical Council issued its list for counseling on state quota seats.
However, numerous candidates with high ranks in the all-India merit list were assigned significantly lower ranks in the Rajasthan state list despite having the same bonus marks. This has led to widespread injustice for hundreds of aspirants.
The UDF has demanded the rectification of this discrepancy and urged that eligible candidates be given a fair opportunity in the counseling process, as per regulations.
