MS (Traumatology & Surgery) Recognised as Feeder for M.Ch. Specialties in NEETSS 2024

NEETSS 2024 | Key Dates at a glance

New Delhi, February 20, 2025 – In a significant update for postgraduate medical aspirants, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has officially included M.S. (Traumatology and Surgery) as an eligible feeder qualification for M.Ch. specialties in Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. This move allows degree holders in this field to provisionally appear for NEETSS 2024, pending final approval under the Postgraduate Medical Education Regulation (PGMER) 2025 and its publication in the Gazette of India.

NBEMS Issues Confirmation

Following NMC’s announcement, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) issued a notice on February 19, 2025, confirming the eligibility of M.S. (Traumatology and Surgery) candidates to apply for NEET-SS 2024. Candidates can submit their applications through the official NBEMS portal at https://natboard.edu.in/viewnbeexam?exam=neetss.

Application & Editing Schedule

Online Application Submission: upto 24th February 2025 (Till 11:55 PM)

Edit Window for All Applicants: 27th February 2025 – 3rd March 2025

Final Edit Window (for Photograph, Signatures, Thumb Impression): 11th March 2025 – 13th March 2025

Admit Card Release: 25th March 2025

Examination Dates: 29th & 30th March 2025

Declaration of Results: By 30th April 2025

This update marks a significant development for candidates pursuing M.Ch. specialties, as M.S. (Traumatology and Surgery) students now have broader avenues for super-specialization.
