Please take a moment to go through these curated tips and try to incorporate them into your last seven days of preparation.
Maintain a Positive Mindset
Don’t let self-doubt affect your preparation. Remind yourself of all the progress you’ve made and reflect on the topics you’re confident in. Visualise your success—see yourself calmly tackling questions during the exam and imagine where you’ll be in a few years, fulfilling your dreams in medicine. Let this vision keep you focused, motivated, and resilient.
Revise Wrong Diary First
Start by focusing on the topics you previously got wrong, as recorded in your Wrong Diary or personalized 20th Notebooks. Review any high-priority bookmarks or marked questions, prioritizing these to strengthen weaker areas. This targeted revision will reinforce key concepts and boost your confidence in challenging topics.
Avoid reading anything “New”
Refrain from reading anything new in the final days. Introducing unfamiliar content can overwhelm you and potentially push out crucial material you’ve already mastered. Focus on revising what you know well to keep your mind clear and your confidence high.
Skip Grand Tests
Avoid taking Grand Tests. A good score might boost confidence, but a low score could risk diminishing it. Keep your focus on consolidation rather than new performance assessments.
Simulate Exam Timing
Create a morning study session that lasts 3.5 hours in one sitting to mimic exam conditions on daily basis. This will help train your stamina and focus.
Continue Solving Questions
Keep up with question practice daily. Aim for a custom set of 50 questions within a 45-minute timer to maintain momentum. Prioritise Image-Based Questions (IBQs) to strengthen your pictographic memory and boost your familiarity with visual content. This approach will improve both speed and accuracy, essential for the exam.
Maximise Productive Hours
Aim to increase your study hours in a focused manner, but don’t push past healthy limits. Structure your day to ensure quality over bulk quantity.
Plan Your Final Study Schedule
Design your study schedule so that in the last seven days, the final two days focus on your most volatile topics or subjects, ensuring they’re fresh in your mind on exam day.
Aim to touch on all 19 subjects during this week, covering each area systematically, with frequent quick revisions of high-yield, volatile content in the last 48 hours. This strategy will help solidify your recall and keep critical information readily accessible.
Prioritise Health (Top Priority)
Ensure you’re eating nutritious meals and staying well-hydrated. Avoid anything that might impact your health or energy. Self-care is critical in the final week.
We hope you will qualify the exam (ie INICET) and get your desired rank, Best wishes!
