On the other side, for NEETPG 2024 Counselling, IMA Junior Doctors’ Network (IMA JDN) has addressed a letter to the Union Health Minister, Shri J.P. Nadda, highlighting concerns over the delay in the counselling schedule. Although NEETPG registration began 40 days ago, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has not released the official counselling timeline.

This delay, compounded by a Supreme Court decision to extend NEET PG hearings until 19th Nov 2024, has caused considerable anxiety among medical aspirants who are eager to begin their postgraduate education.

IMA JDN emphasizes that the delay is negatively impacting young doctors who have invested years in rigorous preparation. They urge the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to collaborate with the MCC and expedite the release of the counseling schedule. A timely response will not only provide clarity to aspirants but also demonstrate the government’s commitment to supporting the next generation of medical professionals.
