
In a historic decision planned to improve healthcare services across the country and boost India’s healthcare infrastructure, PM Shri Narendra Modi opened and laid the foundation stones for a number of health infrastructure projects, and launched various health programs across –
- The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare
- Ministry of Ayush, Dept. of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers.
- Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) under the Ministry of Labour & Employment.
The total outlay of these projects amounts to more than 12,855 cr.

U-win platform
- It is Made-in-India digital platform
- It is designed to benefit 2.9 crore pregnant women and 2.6 crore infants annually by fully digitalizing the complete vaccination process.
- It will ensure the timely administration of life-saving vaccines to women and children (from birth to 16 years) against 12 vaccine-preventable diseases.
Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card
- It is the extension of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna
“Now every senior citizen of the country above the age of 70 years will get free treatment in the hospital, Such elderly people will be given Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card,” said PM
- This card will be given to all citizens above 70 years old regardless of income.
The PM said that around 4 crore individuals have benefited from AB PM-JAY scheme.

State Action Plans on Climate Change and Human Health
PM unveils plans that aim to reduce the negative impacts of climate change on human health. The key objectives are –
- Raising awareness of climate- health risks
- Building climate–resilient healthcare systems
- Strengthening partnerships for climate- health research
- Equipping healthcare providers with the skills to respond effectively.

Launched Drone Services
Prime Minister launched drone services at 11 Tertiary Care Institutions.
These are AIIMS Rishikesh (Uttarakhand), AIIMS Bibinagar (Telangana), AIIMS Guwahati (Assam), AIIMS Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), AIIMS Jodhpur (Rajasthan), AIIMS Patna (Bihar), AIIMS Bilaspur (Himachal Pradesh), AIIMS Raebareli (Uttar Pradesh) , AIIMS Raipur (Chhattisgarh), RIMS Imphal (Manipur) and AIIMS Mangalagiri (Andhra Pradesh).
A Helicopter Emergency Medical Services from AIIMS Rishikesh was also launched which will help to deliver speedy medical care by stabilizing and treating trauma victims during flight and onsite. It will cover Uttarakhand and nearby areas within 100 nautical miles. It is also an air ambulance.
Launched AYUSH Centers
The Prime Minister launched four Ayush Centers of Excellence
- Centre of Excellence for diabetes and metabolic disorders at Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru
- Centre of Excellence in sustainable Ayush for advanced technological solutions : a start-up support and net zero sustainable solutions for Rasaushadhies at IIT Delhi
- Centre of Excellence for fundamental and translational research in Ayurveda at Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow;
- Centre of Excellence on Ayurveda and Systems Medicine at JNU, New Delhi.
The Prime Minister announced the launch of the Prakriti Parikshan Abhiyan aimed at designing ideal lifestyles and risk analysis for individuals using Ayurveda principles.
