02 Dec Delhi | The case Ishika Jain vs NBE (Diary No. 41088/2024) concerning the release of NEETPG 2024 question papers, answer keys and the Normalisation done by NBE is listed for final disposal on 03rd November 2024 (Tuesday) before the Supreme Court of India.

The matter will be heard by a bench comprising HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE B.R. GAVAI and HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE K.V. VISWANATHAN, as Cause List No. 26.

26 Nov Delhi (3:30 PM) | The Supreme Court case Ishika Jain vs. National Board of Examination (WP 583/2024) for NEETPG 2024, expected to be taken up on November 26, was deferred as the petitioners’ arguing counsel was unavailable and requested a short adjournment.

The petitioners emphasized prioritizing the 2024 challenges, particularly concerning normalisation, over earlier cases related to previous years’ answer papers. The hearing is now expected to take place next week, possibly on 3rd December 2024 (Tuesday).


25 Nov Delhi (9:00 AM) | The case Ishika Jain vs NBE (Diary No. 41088/2024) concerning the release of NEETPG 2024 question papers, answer keys and the Normalisation done by NBE is listed for final disposal on 26th November 2024 (Tuesday) before the Supreme Court of India.

The matter will be heard by a bench comprising HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE B.R. GAVAI and HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE K.V. VISWANATHAN, as Cause List No. 19.

It is noteworthy that the previous hearing was postponed without arguments. The outcome of this case is critical in ensuring transparency and accountability in the examination process.


17 Nov Delhi (10:00 PM)| Discrepancies related to NEETPG 2024: Ishika Jain vs NBE Diary No 41088/ 2024 wrt to release of Question Papers and Answer Keys is listed for final disposal on 19th Nov 2024 (Tuesday) in Supreme Court of India.

The Case will be heard by the bench of HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE B.R. GAVAI & HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE K.V. VISWANATHAN as Cause List no : 35

As can be seen newly appointed CJI Sanjiv Khanna will not be hearing this case, instead other two newly appointed justices would take the case further, students hope the NEETPG 2024 Case will finally resolve.

The choice filling and locking deadline for NEET PG 2024 counseling has been extended until 9 AM on 18th November 2024, following downtime on the MCC website earlier today. The final result for Round 1 is scheduled to be announced on 20th November 2024. Meanwhile, lakhs of aspirants eagerly await updates from both the Supreme Court and the Medical Counselling Committee.


25 Oct Delhi (7:30 PM) | The Supreme Court of India announced today that the next hearing for the ongoing case will take place on 19th November 2024 (Computer Generated), a date selected to allow the newly appointed Chief Justice of India (CJI) to assume office prior to proceedings. This transition in leadership is a significant moment for the judiciary, as the incoming CJI is expected to bring fresh perspectives to the bench, potentially influencing the direction and priorities of the Court.


25 Oct Delhi (2:05 PM)| An argument emerged with the release of answer keys by the counsel representing Dr. Ishika Jain. The petitioner’s counsel contended that the information memorandum has not been published, and there is no established standard operating procedure (SOP) for conducting the exam. Additionally, the states are unclear on how to manage the counseling process.

The lawyer for the National Board of Examinations (NBE) contended that these are super-specialty exams at the postgraduate level, with a limited pool of questions. The lawyer argued that if question papers and answer keys were to be released annually, they would likely exhaust the available questions within three years. She added they have not been providing answer scripts. It’s their rule.

SC – We would have to then hear the matter. We will list it on a Non-Miscellaneous Day.


24 Oct Delhi (8:00 PM)|Discrepancies related to NEETPG 2024: Ishika Jain vs NBE Diary No 41088/ 2024 wrt to release of Question Papers and Answer Keys is listed for 25th Oct 2024 (Friday) in Supreme Court of India.

The Case will be heard by the bench of HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE J.B. PARDIWALA & HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE MANOJ MISRA as Cause List no : 34 in Court No-10.

CJI DY Chandrachud will not be hearing this case, instead other two justices would take the case further, students hope the NEETPG 2024 Case is resolved timely.

Recently President Droupadi Murmu appointed Supreme Court Judge Shri Sanjiv Khanna as the new Chief Justice of India wef 11th Nov 2024.
