Overview

The counseling committee has canceled the registrations of all 48 doctors who were allotted seats based on fake domicile certificates in eight private medical colleges of Madhya Pradesh. These seats were allocated to them under the NRI quota for NEET PG counseling. Their names have also been removed from the merit list for the NRI quota.

Action against Fake Certificates

After examining the domicile certificates of 222 doctors registered for NRI quota counseling, the counseling committee declared these 48 doctors as suspicious. A complaint has also been registered with the police against them. They were given until 5 PM on Tuesday to present valid proof of the authenticity of their domicile certificates to the NEET PG Counseling Committee at the Directorate of Medical Education. According to Director of Medical Education (DME) Dr. AK Srivastava, not a single doctor presented valid evidence to the committee, nor did any of them submit a written explanation.

As a result, they have been declared ineligible for NEET PG counseling in Madhya Pradesh’s medical colleges.

Current Situation: In the First Round, 91 Seats Allocated, 52% of Them Were Fake

Fresh Opportunity

In the eight medical colleges of Madhya Pradesh, 152 seats are reserved for the NRI quota. Based on the Madhya Pradesh domicile certificate, only 91 eligible candidates (doctors) were found in the first round of counseling; these individuals were allotted PG seats. Among them, only 36 doctors completed the admission process. Now, the remaining 116 PG seats under the NRI quota will be filled in the second round of counseling.

55 doctors did not take admission; 41 of them had fake domiciles.

Members of the counseling committee reported that after the seat allotment in the first round of NRI quota counseling, 55 doctors did not take admission to the allocated PG seats. Out of these, 41 doctors were included with fake domicile certificates and other illegal documents in the NRI quota PG counseling. All their counseling registrations have been canceled by the counseling committee.
