Delhi – 31 Oct (2PM): Recently a Virtual Meeting took place with MCC, NMC, NBEMS and other state counselling authorities regarding NEETPG 2024 State Specific Merit List on 28th Oct 2024 (Monday), recommending all the state counselling authorities to complete registration process by November 5, 2024 and will provide NBEMS with a password-protected list of eligible candidates by November 6, 2024. After this a week later NBEMS will revert back the newly generated “State Specific Merit list” back to the states.
But seems like, this NEETPG Counselling timeline is not followed by many states, like Telangana their Registration Process would end on 7th Nov 2024 (6PM). Other states such as Bihar, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Sikkim and West Bengal haven’t even initiated the registration process.
The registration process recommended by the NBE appears insufficient for some states, which may prompt them to request an extension from the central authorities. As a result, a delay in the process is likely anticipated.
Many states following the recommendations have reopened their portal for registration as in case of Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka. As the process will be one time, they have mentioned as “Last Chance to register.” Meanwhile Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat have their Portals already open.
Many states have started registrations for the 1st time as in case of Odisha, Telangana and Manipur. It is anticipated that other states would also follow the instructions and reopen their registration portal.
Current Status
In the meeting it was also mentioned States like Haryana and Goa, which do not offer additional incentives to NEETPG 2024 candidates, can generate their own merit lists without contacting NBEMS.
Recently, states like Punjab and Pondicherry have released their seat matrix, while others have issued specific instructions for their in-service candidates to follow.
